Marija Zlata Božnar (MEIS, Slovenia), relatará parte das atividades de pesquisa do projeto de colaboração científica "Development of the meteorological measurements based model for solar energy availability estimation in Slovenia”, entre a MEIS e o Grupo de Micrometeorologia do IAG/USP.
 
 
Modeling diffuse solar irradiation for a coastal location of airport Portorož (Slovenia) using artificial neural networks
Modeling diffuse solar irradiation is important for science as well as for technological purposes. Efficiency of electricity production from solar energy depends among other also on ratio direct/diffuse. The research work that will be presented, focus on possibilities for detail reconstruction of diffuse part of solar irradiation from other more common meteorological measurements at meteorological stations. Firstly the characteristics of the location of Portorož will be described, and then the measurements and data base available. Initial introduction of possible use of mathematical tool - artificial neural network will be given. Finally the construction process of model of diffuse solar irradiation will be presented and  model validation results will be given.
