Meteorology

The graduate program in meteorology from University of São Paulo forms researchers and professionals with strong knowledge in the field of atmospheric sciences, including here "climate change, atmosphere-biosphere interaction, ocean-atmosphere interaction and air pollution and its effects on human beings and on the environment.

Solid training in these areas enables the student a versatile performance and autonomy to face the challenges that academic or professional activity will require.

Currently, there are 65 students regularly enrolled in the program (34 in masters and 31 in doctorate). Historically, most interest in our Program came from people from Meteorology, Physics and Mathematics curses. Nowadays, in addition to these curses, our areas of research have attracted geographers, biologists, chemists, engineers and others.
