On Particle Acceleration and Very High Energy Emission around Black Holes and Relativistic Jets

Black Holes (BHs)  and Relativistic Jets are among the main Particle Accelerators and Very High Energy Emitters in the Universe. Only lately, combining theory, numerical simulations, and observations, we have started understanding  about the potential physical processes that prevail in the surrounds of these sources to explain major puzzles, like the origin of  very high energy flares in them. In this talk, I will discuss these acceleration processes  and show recent analytical studies and multidimensional magneto-hydrodynamical relativistic (RMHD)  and general relativisitc (GRMHD) simulations, involving  the injection of test particles and radiative transfer, which  have helped us to explore these processes  both in relativistic jets and the accretion and coronal flows around BHs.  Finally, I will also discuss the resulting  gamma-ray and neutrino spectra produced in these sources out of these processes, and the synergies with other wavebands, as well as the implications for forthcoming high energy instruments like CTA.
