1. In Doctorate students will be submitted by an exam qualification. In the Master, the qualification exame is only required in meteorology, according to specific rules. The exam is offered twice a year, as established by CPG. The inscription must be made during the period indicated in the school calendar;

2. The Qualifying Examination Commission will be in charge of examination procedures and indication of the Committee, as the dates given in the calendar;

3. The Committee will consist of 03 (three) members, all with the minimum title of doctor;

4. Examination rules are described in sections "qualifying examination" of each graduate program (astronomy, geophysics and meteorology);

5. In the qualifying examination, the student shall be approved or disapproved, there is no assignment of a grade;

6. It will be considered approved the student who obtains approval of the majority of members of the Committee.
