About Research

The IAG/USP Meteorology Graduate Program develops research in the following areas:

  •        Dynamics, large and mesoscale diagnostic studies and interaction between scales, including numerical modeling of climate and weather;

  •        Remote sensing of the atmosphere through meteorological satellites and radars for the study of rainfall and atmospheric radiative;

  •        Remote sensing applied to bioclimatic monitoring of natural resources and agricultural;

  •       Atmospheric pollution: atmospheric aerosol physics, source identification and dry and wet ;

  •       Micrometeorology, planetary boundary layer dynamics, numerical modeling of atmospheric turbulence and applications on dispersion of atmospheric;

  •       Atmospheric radiation, theoretical calculation and experimental determination of radiation balance components, aerosol and water vapor impact.
