Double Degree (Doctorate)
Doctorate candidates at foreign institutions may study at IAG on two capacities:
- Doctorate internship: this internship is usually part of a research collaboration. The student stays enrolled at their institution (retaining scholarships), and it is not necessary to establish a formal academic agreement with USP. The agreement is established between the advisors at each institution.
- Double Degree: the student will be granted the title from both institutions upon completing the degree requirements. It is mandatory to establish a formal agreement between the institutions, with the respective advisors.
Obs.: We recommend that candidates and advisors contact the Graduate Office early in the Doctorate program, due to the time required to process the agreement. In order to obtain the Double Degree, the agreement must be signed prior to the Thesis defense.
