Undergraduate courses

Undergraduate education is the initial stage of higher education, open to students who have completed secondary education. IAG, as a teaching and research institute of USP (Universidade de São Paulo), offers undergraduate courses with the aim of educating professionals who can act as agents of social transformation.

IAG offers three undergraduate courses: Bachelor's Degree in Astronomy, Geophysics, and Meteorology.

Bachelor's Degree in Astronomy

The astronomer is a professional who applies knowledge of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry to observe, analyze data and develop models about the behaviors of celestial bodies.

Bachelor's Degree in Geophysics

A geophysicist is a professional capable of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information from physical fields to explore environmental issues, mineral resources, and the dynamics of Earth and other planets.

Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology

The meteorologist analyzes and processes data to prepare weather forecasts for public dissemination or for companies operating in sectors such as agriculture and transportation, for example. They also work in the environmental field, addressing issues such as pollution and climate change, and in the development of meteorological instruments.
