Mobility for foreign undergraduate students

IAG offers three undergraduate programmes: Bachelor's Degree in Astronomy, Bachelor's Degree in Geophysics, and Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology. Foreigners may apply to study at IAG as regularly enrolled students and as international exchange students.

Important information

  • Undergraduate Programmes at USP do not charge tuition or enrollment fees, for either Brazilian or foreign students.
  • All classes in Undergraduate Programmes are offered in Portuguese; however, it is not required for the student to hold language proficiency. For foreign students interested in learning Portuguese, there are ongoing paid courses at FFLCH/USP's Centro de Línguas and occasional free programs offered by USP's International Cooperation Office.

Regular admission

Foreigners interested in enrolling at out undegraduate programmes may apply in the regular entrance processes (Fuvest admission exam, USP-ENEM) and transfer processes. More information is available at the undergraduate programmes section.

Aditionally, students from countries that are members of the Program for Partner Undergraduate Students (PEC-G) may seek opportunities in its selection process. Further information is available with USP's International Cooperation Office (AUCANI). USP also accepts enrollment on the basis of diplomatic courtesy policy, through Itamaraty and the Secretaria de Educação Superior (SESu).

Undergraduate student exchange programme

Out undergraduate programmes welcome students for exchange programmes (one or two semesters). Applications are managed by USP's International Cooperation Office (AUCANI).
